American Bully Kennel Club

The ABKC is a new registration club based in California. They register American Pit Bull Terriers and Amstaffs under the name "American Bully."

This is an alternative to the regular registration, since the standards are set differently. They are currently putting on very interactive shows and this is a good place for people who want something different out of their registry. However, I would be very wary of anyone whose dogs are only registered with them, or who only shows with them. Many people use this registry to gain "ribbons" for APBT/mastiff mix dogs whose extremely bully looks make them unwelcome in ADBA or UKC competitions. These dogs are not well bred APBTs and are often bred/owned by puppy peddlers who charge over $1000.00 for a puppy off parents with no championships or titles to thier names.
